Lobsterman with Reverend Jemima & Kitty Of The Valley
Lobsterman was formed in Sydney in 1997 by Chris Lobb, Missy Owly Girl and Chris Baz. While all 3 had spent time with Sydney band Crow, the nucleus of loungey, cabaret style guitar sound undercut by song-smithing. On the back of their first LP "Get With Lobsterman", the band developed a strongin the Sydney inner west scene supporting acts as diverse as Tendrils, Joe Pernice and Crow.
As a prolific artist of songs, stories and painting, Chris Lobb continues to produce and create in the wake of Lobsterman, mining his own considerable archive of home recordings and stories that stretch back to the 1980's.

Anna Dine with Jean Elliot & Elissa Jade
Anna Dine belongs to a world of glitter, friendship bracelets and rainbows. The Sydney indie pop songstress presents starkly honest songwriting showered in sparkling synths, lush harmonies and alt-rock guitars inspired by Clairo, Benee and Last Dinosaurs.
Anna Dine burst into the Sydney scene in 2025 with her debut releases ‘anymore,’ and ‘kind 2 me,’ which won the prestigious Sonora Song Competition. Both tracks yielded a wealth of radio play across Triple J, Triple J Unearthed, FBI and 2SER, her sound championed by Triple J Music Director Claire Mooney as “dreamy pop magic.” The releases were celebrated with sold out headline shows, and most recently with her first ever headline tour which spanned Sydney, Canberra, Central Coast, Newcastle and Wollongong. Anna was also announced a winner of the 2025 Campus Music Competition.
Elyssa Jade is a Sydney-based queer artist whose harmony driven style brings a unique and dreamy sound to the genres that she explores. Experimenting with Indie Rock, Pop, Folk and Soul/Rnb, she effortlessly creates a cohesive blend that reflects her versatility and bright personality. Her vulnerable songwriting paired with upbeat grooves is inspired by Olivia Dean, Jordan Rakei and Hayley Williams. Elyssa’s debut EP, “do you know who you are?”, is a strong projection of her songwriting ability and dives into the challenges of growing up and finding yourself.

PATSY RECLINERS LIVE AT MIXTAPE
The Patsy Recliners are a genre‑bending(!!) outfit known for blending vintage country charm with modern storytelling and a sly, self‑aware sense of humour. Formed by a group of long‑time friends who bonded over classic records, late‑night jam sessions, and a shared love of the tragically melancholic, the band has carved out a sound that feels both warmly familiar and unmistakably their own.
Drawing inspiration from bop, newgrass and psychedelic country — whilst never taking themselves too seriously — The Patsy Recliners weave twangy guitar, flangin’ fiddle, rich harmonies, and wry lyrical turns into songs that celebrate life’s small triumphs, quiet heartbreaks, and the odd absurdity of being human. Their music sits comfortably between barroom sing‑alongs and slow‑burning, introspective ballads, always anchored by a deep respect for craft (beer).
On stage, the band are equal parts tight musicianship and easy-going charisma. Their shows feel like gatherings of old friends: warm, funny, and full of moments that linger long after the last chord rings out. Whether they’re playing an intimate local venue or a bustling festival stage, The Patsy Recliners bring a sense of authenticity that resonates with audiences across generations.
With a growing catalogue of original songs and a steadily expanding fanbase, The Patsy Recliners continue to refine their sound while staying true to the spirit that started it all — a love of music that brings people together, invites them to slow down, and maybe even recline for a while.

KNIEVEL with special guests THE INSTANT presented by Great Southern Nights!
PRESENTED BY GREAT SOUTHERN NIGHTS
Knievel have been purveyors of electric indie rock since before the turn of the century. Emerging from Australia’s underground guitar scene, the band became known for their textured, melodic sound—blending shimmering guitars with a loose, atmospheric approach that sits somewhere between NZ indie and the more introspective side of alternative rock.
The band formed in Sydney in the nineties, when Wayne Connolly teamed up with Tracy Ellis and Nick Kennedy. Fourth member Tim Kevin (Hoolahan, La Huva) joined in 2000. Newest member Kristy Wilson (Morning Papers) joined in 2012.
The band released their first album We Fear Change on the Sony/Murmur label and had widespread radio play on Triple J and community radio with their first single ‘Might As Well Be Gone’.
In following years, they released a further four albums gaining wide acclaim for their second album, Steep Hill Climb, and releasing their third album, The Name Rings a Bell That Drowns Out Your Voice, in the US and Japan on the In Music We Trust and Painted Sky labels respectively.
Their most recent album, Emerald City, was released on the Alberts label (home of AC/DC). An extended version of this album was released in the US on the New High label.
The band have travelled to the US to play the CMJ Festival in New York and the SXSW Conference in Austin, Texas. The latter was part of a four-week tour of the US and Japan that included gigs with My Morning Jacket and Swearing At Motorists. They also twice played at the Big Day Out festival in Sydney.

MARK MOLDRE BAND
Mark Moldre's band is made up of an unlikely bunch of misfits and marauders who’ve travelled together from Canberra to France.
Gin and green tea drinkers. A group of musical pillager’s who sound like the un-oiled wheels on a lurching gypsy caravan. If you listen very closely you’ll experience tender romance and dark corners, death and redemption, human struggle versus biblical consequences, dreams/nightmares and bad weather. They can be as gritty as a 1920’s speakeasy or as smooth as Sinatra at The Sands.
"If Tom Waits, Elvis Costello and Jeff Tweedy were pushed out to sea in a rickety old boat they’d come up with something like this" Timber & Steel
JO MEARES BAND
Jo is a Sydney based singer/songwriter who has produced multiple albums over 25 years of playing. The band has an extraordinary level of musicianship. Expect lush backing vocals, sublime violin and saw, lovely electronic sounds and piano, gorgeous guitar and percussion and brilliant songs.
"Jo Meares has a dark whisper of a voice. He is like an introverted, quiet Paul Kelly." Simon Sweetman, Radio NZ
DADBOD + HEAPS GRASS + WINTER STARLINGS LIVE AT MIXTAPE
DADBOD makes stripped-back rock songs about collapse, personal, cultural, emotional. Breakups, bad habits, dead ends, and the quiet pressure of everyday life. Their sound sits somewhere between Britpop melody and pub-floor rock, shaped by jazz feel rather than jazz spectacle. Big guitars, elastic rhythm, plain language, no sentimentality. It is not always pretty. That is the point.
Ebony Tait, Lachlan Mills & Jack Rosenzweig are HEAPS GRASS. After meeting at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2023, the trio began writing music together combining dreamy textures and rich grooves with nostalgic storytelling, evoking the picturesque Australian coastline where they grew up. They released their debut 5-track EP in early 2025, recorded at Golden Retriever Studios with renowned Australian engineer Simon Berckelman, accompanied by a headline tour visiting Melbourne, Kiama, Nowra, Canberra and Sydney.
Winter Starlings is a Sydney-based folk rock band formed in 2019 by singer-songwriter Robin Fitzgerald, joined by Jack Dunn (electric guitar & vocals), Peter Marley (double bass & vocals), and Tony Bibby (drums). The band blends acoustic warmth with electric energy, crafting a sound that fuses pastoral Americana, alt-country, and British folk with a distinctly Australian storytelling flair.

THE EXILE CO LIVE AT MIXTAPE
The Exile Co.

They get set to continue their live onslaught in 2026, next stop Mixtape, Thursday 12 February in Sydney with special guest Tristan Courtney-Prior.
Experimental post-punk guitar rock from Sydney musician Tristan Courtney-Prior - guitarist in bands Peabody and Shearin'.
Replication is the debut solo album from Tristan Courtney-Prior.
Feeling a need to do something with all his songs that had no place in any of the bands he played in, Tristan decided to embrace the unknown and explored recording an experimental post-punk / yobbo art-rock project in his home studio, experimenting with recording techniques, effects, and instruments he never touches in bands.

David McCormack & the Polaroids
DMc + Roids commence the 2026 freakout with two mind-bending sets. Intense stuff.
Lo Carmen & The Great Beyond w/ special guest Simone east
Lo Carmen is a cinematic storyteller, blending epic balladry, country soul, psych-folk, and slow-burning rock into genre-defying, immersive narratives rich with mystery and emotional depth.
Latest album, Transatlantic Light (2024), showcases her shimmering, timeless songwriting in full force. Self-produced and recorded with The Great Beyond, featuring Ken Gormly (Cruel Sea), Cec Condon (Mess Hall) and Sam Worrad (Holy Soul), it was hailed by rock critic Will Hermes as ‘a holy-glowing dreamscape of smoke-clouded guitars, loping basslines, and tantric drums that channel a history of sound recordings, from delta blues to chiaroscuro surf reveries, haunted pop ballads to modern bloodied valentines.’ Post To Wire describes their sound as ‘like the Velvet Underground jamming with Mazzy Star in a Nashville honky tonk after closing time.’

JONNY FRITZ + JOSHUA HEDLEY and introducing CHRIS ACKER LIVE AT MIXTAPE
Love Police are thrilled to announce the return of two of Nashville’s most beloved country storytellers —JONNY FRITZ and JOSHUA HEDLEY— for a run of special Australian shows in January 2026, joined by their good friend and kindred spirit CHRIS ACKER.
It’s been a few years between drinks, but the wait is over. Fritz and Hedley are heading back to Oz to share new songs, old favourites, and plenty of good times, performing music from their brand-new albums alongside the country gold that’s earned them fans from Austin to Adelaide.
Jonny Fritz remains country music’s most charming outsider. Once known as Jonny Corndawg, Fritz has carved his own path as a songwriter of rare wit and warmth, blending humour and heartbreak in a way only he can. His latest songs on new album Debbie Downers (released October 2025), are full of crooked truths and plainspoken poetry, continue his legacy as one of Nashville’s great eccentrics — and a live performer like no other.
Joshua Hedley — the rhinestone-clad “Mayor of Lower Broadway” — first stole hearts with his stunning debut Mr. Jukebox (Third Man Records), followed by the sharp and swaggering Neon Blue. His new album All Heart continues to dig deep into the heart of classic country, all velvet tones, weeping pedal steel and honky tonk melancholy delivered with that unmistakable Hedley polish.
Rounding out the bill is Louisiana-born, Seattle-based Chris Acker, whose rambling, narrative-driven songs echo the spirit of Townes Van Zandt and John Prine while carving out a voice all his own. His presence on this introductory tour is the perfect complement to two artists who prize honesty, humour and heart above all.
Together, the trio promise an unforgettable evening of songs and stories, performed by three of Americana’s most authentic voices. Expect heartbreakers and two-steppers, banter and brilliance — a triple threat tour of the summer featuring three starts for 5 star night out that will remind you exactly why you fell in love with country music in the first place.

Adam Young and the Down Main + Copperline Live at Mixtape
Strap yourselves in for an evening of heart-on-the sleeve stories and songs from two of Sydney’s finest purveyors of alt-country.
Copperline
Take some disarmingly honest storytelling, flavour it with generous lashings of twang and gritty rock and you get Copperline. The Sydney/Blue Mountains alt-country four-piece have lived and breathed the highs and lows of the rock and low life – and that experience can’t help but find its way into their music.
With two records under their belt, and a third on the way (all produced by Shane Nicholson) Copperline have earned a reputation for their heart-on-sleeve songwriting and live performances – and have picked up a swag of award nominations, radio spins and festival slots along the way.
Adam Young and The Down Main
Having spent several years in successful indie rock acts such as the Daisygrinders and Big Heavy Stuff, Adam Young has had his songs covered by the likes of You Am I and The Lemonheads. This would be enough to make any musician retire happily.
But it his solo work with which Adam will truly leave his mark.
His debut solo album, Elementary Carnival Blues, features 10 tracks of real alternative country and we believe that it easily stands beside the best work from Wilco, the Jayhawks, Uncle Tupelo and other legends of the genre. But Adam hasn’t left his roots behind either. Imagine if Gram Parsons had fronted early REM or Steve Earle got together with Buffalo Tom.
